Standard Care Procedures for Wood Furniture
To prolong the beauty of your wood furniture, please follow these simple care procedures:
- Keep furniture away from direct sunlight and avoid temperature variations caused by heating and air conditioning sources.
- Dust Regularly with a slightly damp (not wet), clean, white, soft cloth. Ensure table is completely dry.
- Polish and clean as needed (two or three times a year) to remove smudges and accumulated air pollutants. We recommend using the appropriate Zen Concept Furniture Care Products. Do not use products that contain silicone. Avoid over-polishing or excessive rubbing.
- Do not place anything hot directly on furniture. Use a protective pad when writing with a ballpoint pen, pencil, or marker. Use felt pads or non synthetic doilies under lamps and accessories. Use coasters under beverage glasses.
- Protect tabletops with non-plastic mats or pads. Custom table pads are available through your Zen Concept Interiors. Do not leave plastic tablecloths or placemats on a wood surface for extended periods of time.
- Protect furniture by affixing felt discs to the contact points of computer equipment, alarm clocks, telephones, lighting, and other desktop items. This keeps the chemical components in the feet from migrating into the finish and damaging it.
